UNIQUE GARAGE DOOR WARRANTY FOR RESIDENTIAL STEEL GARAGE DOORS 2019 Unique Garage Doors Inc., warrants to the original purchaser that Unique will repair or replace sections or hardware that is defective in material or workmanship pursuant to the terms of this limited warranty for garage door sections, sections and hardware are warranted limited lifetime and 4 years on springs. These warranties are for the installations of complete Unique Garage Doors (sections and hardware) for single‐family residential, residential condominium or similar residential multi‐family housing. They do not apply to commercial, industrial or non‐residential uses. Limited Lifetime warranty on Steelback, Polyback (factory insulated) and Pan doors (non-insulated). (Cracking, splitting due to wind damage or automatic garage door openers installed without an operator reinforcement bracket IS NOT COVERED.) These warranties extend to normal usage when the door has been installed and maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. The warranties do not apply to any damage or deterioration caused by abuse or misuse, failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance as defined by manufacturer’s maintenance and installation instructions. Improper installation or handling of garage door or electric garage door opener, acts of God, fire, hail, flood, failure of paint applied after manufacture and distribution, alterations and/or additions to door or atmospheric conditions, including, but not limited to: (1) areas subject to excessive salt atmosphere, (2) areas subject to fallout or exposure to corrosive chemicals, fumes, ash, cement dust, animal waste, or foreign substances, (3) areas subject to water runoff from lead, copper or galvanic metal flashing and (4) high winds (high wind areas must have doors with added struts/wind kit installed) If within the applicable limited warranty period, the sections or hardware warranted are found to be defective upon inspection by authorized Unique personnel, Unique agrees to repair, repaint, or replace at Unique’s option, the defective door sections or hardware. Proof of purchase is required. Any charges for freight, removal or labor shall be the responsibility of the original purchaser. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF SPECIFIED PARTS IS THE SOLE REMEDY OFFERED BY THIS WARRANTY. IN NO EVENT SHALL UNIQUE BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY OR RESULTING FROM DEFECTIVE GARAGE DOOR SECTIONS OR HARDWARE. UNIQUE DOES NOT PAY FOR LABOR OR COMPENSATION UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES If your Unique Garage Door is located less than 1.5 miles from salt atmospheres the limited warranty for paint finish color change and chalking is only covered from (1) year from date of purchase by the original owner. Garage door surface rust or section rust is not covered (however to extend your warranty in this environment see maintenance instructions.) Doors in this environment MUST BE washed and waxed to retain factory finish. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other right, which vary from state to state or province to province. To make a claim under this warranty, contact us immediately in writing at the address listed below. Please send a complete description and photograph of the issue. Response may take up to two weeks from receipt of warranty claim. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED AND DISCLAIMED. (Note: Some states restrict such limitations; so this limitation may not apply to you).
